Internal pipework has been modified to accommodate the addition of two valves installed on the side of the swim spa. These valves control the direction of water flow when the jet pump is activated.

Setup 1: Set both valves to Swim mode. This is the standard operating configuration for regular spa use.

Setup 2: Before pressing the jet button, ensure the hose is primed (flooded with water) and securely connected. When the valves are set to Vac mode and the jet pump is activated, water and debris will be drawn through the SwimVac suction line and discharged from the spa.

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Prepare the Spa

  • Turn off the spa heater and jets.
  • Remove large debris using a leaf net or skimmer
  • Add  additional water so the spa is filled to its max

2. Assemble the SwimVac

  • Attach the SwimVac head to the telescopic pole.
  • Connect one end of the vacuum hose to the SwimVac head.
  • Lower the vacuum head into the spa, keeping the other end of the hose outside the water.

3. Prime the Hose

  • Submerge the hose fully, slowly pushing it underwater to fill it with water and remove air.
  • Once primed, bring the hose end to the SwimVac Suction port between the 2 SwimVac valves

4. Connection to Swimvac

  • When Inserting the vacuum hose into the SwimVac suction  port  ensure a secure, airtight connection to maintain suction.
  • Then move both SwimVac valves to the Vac position
  • Now press Jet 1 or the Jest deadicated to the SwimVac

5. Begin Vacuuming

  • Slowly move the SwimVac across the swim spa floor and seats.
  • Use deliberate, overlapping strokes to avoid stirring up debris.
  • If suction drops, check for blockages in the leaf catcher.
  • Turn off Jet if emptying the leaf catcher.
  • Aim to vac the heavy debris in Approx 5 min - keeping an eye on the water level.
  • Stop jet and close both SwimVac valves back to Swim setting once water has fallen to correct level in your swim spa.

6. Clean and Finish

  • Run a SwimVac Mini+ clean if necessary to get any debris missed.
  • When finished, disconnect the hose and vacuum head.
  • Rinse and store all equipment.
  • Clean the spa filter if necessary (debris may accumulate from vacuuming in Mini+ mode).
  • Check water chemistry and balance if needed.
